ATM card

An ATM card is a little plastic card that you can use to get money from an ATM, which is like a little computer that gives out cash. The money comes from a bank account that you have.

To use the card, you have to put it into the machine and then type in a secret code which is also called a PIN. It's a secret so only you or your parents can use it. Once you put in the code, you can ask the machine for some money, and it will give you some, but only up to a certain amount. This is because the bank wants to make sure that nobody steals all your money at once.

You can also use the ATM card to buy things, but you have to go to a store that accepts the same card. When you buy things this way, the money comes out of your bank account too, just like when you take money out of the machine.

It's important to keep your ATM card safe and not share your secret code with anyone because if someone else got your card and code, they could take your money.
