An Abel Transform is a special way of looking at an image or graphic that was drawn using circles. Imagine you draw a picture using nothing but circles of varying sizes. Now, the Abel Transform takes each circle and adds up all of the pixels (little colored dots) inside the circle, and then it fuses all of that information together into one big graph. This is kind of like if you took all the information from each circle in your picture and squished it down into one giant circle. This graph can be used to help analyze and understand what's going on in the original picture. So basically, the Abel Transform takes a bunch of circles and smushes them into one big circle to help us better understand what's going on in the picture.
