Absolute democracy

Hey kiddo! Do you know what democracy means? It means that everyone gets to vote and have a say in how things are run.

Now, absolute democracy means that every single person in the community or country gets to vote on every single decision that needs to be made.

For example, if we wanted to decide what color the playground should be painted, we would need to ask every single person in the community what color they want.

This might seem like a good idea because everyone gets to have a say, but it can also be really hard to get everyone to agree on every decision. It could also take a very long time to make a decision because we would need to wait for everyone to vote.

So while absolute democracy might seem fair, it might not be the most practical way of making decisions. Sometimes it's better to have smaller groups of people make decisions, or to elect representatives who can make decisions on our behalf.

Does that make sense, kiddo?
