ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Absolute idealism

Absolute idealism is like when you have a big puzzle with lots of pieces that fit perfectly together. Imagine that the puzzle is all the ideas and thoughts in the world, and everything that exists is a piece of that puzzle.

Now, imagine that there is also a person, called the Absolute, who is like the final missing puzzle piece that makes everything fit together perfectly. The Absolute is a special kind of idea or concept that is perfect and complete, and it's the key to understanding everything in the world.

In absolute idealism, people believe that this Absolute is the most important thing, and that everything else in the world is just a part of it. They also think that the world and everything in it is made out of ideas, not physical things like rocks or trees.

So basically, absolute idealism is a big idea puzzle where the missing piece is a perfect concept called the Absolute, and everything else is just ideas that fit together to make up the world.
