ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Academic advising

Academic advising is like having a really helpful grown-up who works at your school to help you figure out what classes to take and what you need to do to succeed. They can answer all your questions about school and help you create a plan for your education.

They will help you choose the right classes based on your interests and what you need to graduate. They will also let you know about any special opportunities, like study abroad or internships, that could be a great fit for you.

If you’re having trouble with your classes, your academic advisor can help. They can give you tips on how to study better and help you come up with a plan to get back on track.

They are also there to listen if you have any problems or concerns about school. They want to help you succeed and will do everything they can to make sure you have a great experience in school.
