Academic standards

Academic standards are like a map that tells us what we need to learn and how we need to learn it. Think about it like playing a game. When we play a game, there are rules we have to follow in order to win. Academic standards are like those rules that we need to follow in order to do well in school.

These standards tell us what we need to know in different subjects like math, English, and science. They also tell us how well we should know these things at different grade levels.
