Acala Chʼol

Acala ch'ol is a word that comes from the Ch'ol language, which is spoken by some people in southern Mexico. The word "acala" means "cornfield" and "ch'ol" refers to the Ch'ol people.

So, basically "acala ch'ol" means "cornfield belonging to the Ch'ol people."

Corn is a really important crop for people in Mexico, and the Ch'ol people have been growing it for a long time. They have a lot of knowledge and traditions around how to grow and harvest corn, and they use it for food and other things like making clothes and decorations.

So when they say "acala ch'ol," they are talking about a special place where they grow corn and carry on their traditions and culture. It's an important part of who they are as a community.
