Accelerated Graphics Port

An accelerated graphics port (AGP) is like a special bus that connects a computer's main processor (the brain of the computer that tells everything what to do) to the graphics card (a piece of hardware that helps display pictures, videos and games on the computer screen).

Think of the AGP as a special highway that only the graphics card can use. This helps the graphics card work really fast because it has its own dedicated road to travel on without getting stuck in traffic with other computer parts.

The AGP also has something called "acceleration" which means it helps speed things up for the graphics card. It does this by making sure the graphics card has all the data it needs to work as fast as possible.

Overall, the AGP helps make your computer's graphics run smoother and faster so you can enjoy things like movies, games, and special effects without any delays or glitches.
