ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Access to Medicine Index

The Access to Medicine Index is like a report card for how well some companies are making and distributing medicine to sick people all over the world.

Just like in school, getting a good report card means you are doing well in a certain subject. In this case, the subject is medicine.

The report card looks at things like how easy it is for people in different countries to get the medicine they need, how much that medicine costs, and whether the companies making the medicine are doing good things for the environment and their communities.

The Access to Medicine Index helps us keep track of the good stuff these companies are doing to make sure sick people can get the medicine they need!
