Your eyes have a special part called the lens that helps you see things clearly. This lens can change shape to focus on things that are far away or up close. This is called accommodation.
Just like a camera lens can zoom in and out, your eye lens can change its shape to make things clearer. When you look far away, your lens becomes thin and flat, like a pancake. This allows light to travel through the eye and focus on the back of the eye, where the image is upside down.
When you want to look at something up close, like a book or your favorite toy, your eye muscles make your lens round and thicker. This makes the image appear clear and focused on the back of the eye.
So, just like a camera lens, your eye lens can adjust to help you see things far away or up close. That's called accommodation!
