Achish

Hey kiddo, do you know what a friend is? Yes, someone you like to hang out with and do fun things with! Well, there was a man named David in the Bible who had a friend named Achish.

Achish was actually a king who ruled over a place called Gath. Sometimes David would go to stay with Achish and his people because he needed a safe place to hide.

See, David was actually running away from another king who wanted to hurt him. David knew that Achish would protect him and keep him safe from that other king.

So basically, Achish was like a really nice friend who let David come stay with him so that he wouldn't get hurt. And David was really grateful to Achish for being such a good friend!
