Acropolis of Rhodes
Okay kiddo, imagine there was a really big and special city long, long ago called Rhodes. In this city there was a special place on a really high hill called the Acropolis of Rhodes.
The Acropolis was like a castle or a fort that the people of Rhodes built to keep themselves safe from bad guys who might want to hurt them. It was important because it was really high up and had really strong walls that would keep the bad guys out.
Inside the Acropolis, there were lots of important buildings and statues that the people of Rhodes built to honor their gods and goddesses. There was a special temple where people would go to pray and make offerings to the gods.
