ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Activity-based working

Activity-based working is when a company changes the way it organizes its workspace. Instead of having offices and desks that are assigned to a specific person, employees have different areas in the office to do different activities like reading, meetings, or working on the computer. It makes it easier to work in different ways and to collaborate with other teams. For example, if you need to do some creative work, like writing an article, you can go to a desk with comfy chairs and fun decorations that make you feel relaxed and inspired. If you need to talk on the phone, you can go to an area with sound-proof walls so that your conversation won't bother anyone else in the office. Activity-based working helps people do their jobs more effectively and makes them happier in their workspace.
