Adaptive tile refresh

Adaptive tile refresh is when a computer or device updates the little pictures that are shown on the home screen in a smart way. It's like having a big toy box with lots of different toys in it, but you can only see a few of them at a time. The computer decides which toys you are most likely to play with and brings them to the top of the box where you can see them easily. This way, you don't have to search through the whole box every time you want to find your favorite toy.

Adaptive tile refresh works in the same way for the little pictures on your device's home screen, called tiles. These tiles show information like the weather, news, social media updates, or your calendar events. The computer understands which tiles you use the most often and updates them more frequently so that you always have the latest information at your fingertips.

For example, if you check your weather tile every morning, the computer knows that this is important to you and will refresh the weather information more often than the other tiles on your home screen. This means you don't have to keep opening the weather app to see if anything has changed.

Adaptive tile refresh is a really helpful tool that saves you time and makes your devices more efficient by only showing you the information that you need and care about.
