Adarga

Adarga is a type of shield that was used by warriors a long time ago. Imagine a big piece of hard leather that is curved and fits on your arm. This shield was used to protect your body from weapons like swords and arrows. The adarga was made with many layers of leather that made it really strong and hard to break. It also had a handle so that you could easily hold it and move it around.

People who used adarga to protect themselves were called adargueros. They were very skilled in fighting and could move the shield around to protect themselves and attack their enemies. The adargueros were often hired by kings and lords to protect their lands and wealth.

Today, the adarga is not used much anymore because we have more advanced weapons and technology. But it is still remembered as a symbol of strength and bravery.
