Admiral-Lord Mountevans rules

Well, Admiral-Lord Mountevans was a very important person who made some rules, just like your teacher might make rules in your classroom. His rules were for big ships that go on the ocean, like the ones you see in movies or books.

One of his rules is that the people driving the ship, called the captain and crew, have to make sure they don't crash into other ships or things in the water. They have to use their eyes and special equipment to watch for anything in their way.

Another rule is that if the ship gets in trouble, like it's sinking or there's a fire, the captain and crew have to make sure everyone on the ship is safe and knows what to do. This means they have to practice things like putting on life jackets and getting into lifeboats.

Mountevans also made a rule about how much alcohol the crew is allowed to drink. When they're working on the ship, they're not allowed to drink any alcohol at all because it can make them sleepy or dizzy and they might not do their job right. But when they're off-duty and not driving the ship, they can have a little bit if they want.

These are just a few of the rules that Admiral-Lord Mountevans made to keep big ocean ships safe and running smoothly.
