ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Adoptivi

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of adoption? It's when a person or family decides to become the legal parents of a child that was not born to them. Adoptivi is basically the same thing, but in Italian!

Let's say there is a little girl named Sofia who can't live with her birth parents for some reason. Maybe her parents passed away or they can't take care of her properly. All children deserve a loving family, so a kind and caring family in Italy might decide to adopt her and become her new mommy and daddy.

To do this, the family would have to go through a process with the Italian government. The government has rules and requirements to make sure that the child is going to a safe and loving home. They would check things like the family's financial situation, where they live, and how much they know about taking care of a child.

If everything checks out, the family would become Sofia's new legal parents through adoptivi. That means that they would have all the rights and responsibilities of any other parent in Italy, like providing a home, food, love, and support for Sofia as she grows up.

Overall, adoptivi means giving a child a chance to have a family and a happy life, and it's a very special thing to do.
