Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are bad things that happen to children, like seeing violence in their home or having a parent go to prison. The Adverse Childhood Experiences International Questionnaire (ACE-IQ) is a way to measure how many ACES someone has. It asks the person questions about different types of bad experiences that happened to them when they were growing up. ACE-IQ can be used to help people who have had a lot of bad experiences as a child understand their past and to get help.
