Aerosol spray

When we want to spray a substance on something, we can use an aerosol spray can. The can has the substance in it, but it also has something called a propellant. The propellant is like a helper that helps the substance come out of the can in spray form.

So when we press the button on the top of the can, the propellant pushes the substance out of the can and turns it into little drops that land on whatever we want to spray. That's why we usually see a mist or spray coming out of the can.

Aerosol sprays can be used for all kinds of things, like spraying hairspray on our hair to keep it in place or spraying bug spray to keep mosquitoes away. They're really helpful when we want to apply something evenly over a large area or when we want to reach something that's hard to get to.

But it's important to use aerosol sprays safely. We should always use them in a well-ventilated area because some of them can be harmful to breathe in. And we should never spray them near an open flame, like a candle or a stove, because the propellant is flammable and could cause a fire.
