Affirming a disjunct

Affirming a disjunct means to say that one of two things is true. For example: "Either I will get ice cream, or I will not get ice cream." If you affirm a disjunct, you are saying that one of the two things is true. So, if you affirm this disjunct, you might say that "I will get ice cream."
