Afghanistan–Pakistan border skirmishes
So, you know how sometimes people can have fights with their neighbors about things like who gets to use the ball or who owns the dog? Well, countries can have fights like that too. That's what's been happening between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Now, Afghanistan and Pakistan are two countries that are next to each other. But they don't really get along too well. They argue about where the border should be between them. And sometimes, they even fight about it!
Sometimes, soldiers from Afghanistan and soldiers from Pakistan will both be at the same place and they will start shooting at each other. That's called a skirmish.
Now, these fights can be really dangerous, because people can get hurt or even killed. And that's not good!
So, grownups who are in charge of both countries are trying to talk to each other and find a way to fix the problem. They are trying to come up with an agreement about where the border should be, so that they don't fight about it anymore.
