African Slave Trade Patrol was a group of ships during the 1800s whose job it was to stop people from bringing slaves from Africa to other countries. The sailors on the ships would look for boats carrying people who were being taken away from their homes against their will and stop the ships from transporting them. The ships were also used to prevent people from buying and selling slaves once they had arrived in a new country. The goal was to make sure no one was taken away from their homes and sold as a slave ever again.
