African admixture in Europe

African admixture in Europe is when people in Europe have a small part of their heritage that comes from Africa. Most Europeans are descended from people who lived in Europe for centuries, but some people in Europe have ancestry from Africa too. This can happen when African people moved to Europe, or when Europeans traveled to Africa and had children with African people. This means that those Europeans have mixed heritage and both African and European ancestors in their family tree!
