African archaeology

African archaeology is like playing detective. People who study African archaeology go to different places in Africa, like Egypt or Ethiopia, and look for clues about what happened a long time ago.

They dig in the ground and find things like bones or pottery from a long time ago. These things can tell us a story about how people used to live.

For example, if they find lots of bones from cows, it might mean that people a long time ago raised cows for food. Or if they find lots of pottery, it might mean that people used to make things out of clay.

African archaeology helps us understand more about African culture and history. It's like putting together a puzzle of the past.
