ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Afro-Asians

Afro-Asians are people who have both African and Asian heritage. This means their ancestors came from both Africa (a continent south of Europe) and Asia (a continent north of Australia).

Just like how you might have a mom and a dad, Afro-Asians have parents or grandparents from two different parts of the world. Some Afro-Asians may have a black mom and a Chinese dad, for example, while others might have an Indian mom and a Nigerian dad.

What makes Afro-Asians special is that they have unique stories and cultural backgrounds that are influenced by both Africa and Asia. This can include things like music, art, food, fashion, and traditions. So, even though they may look different from one another, they all share a common bond in being both African and Asian.
