After the Empire
Okay kiddo, so you remember when we were talking about the Empire, right? Well, after the Empire fell, many things changed in the galaxy. Do you want to know what happened?
Well, when the Empire was defeated, a new government, called the New Republic, was formed. They wanted to take on a new approach and make sure everyone had a say and that they respected each other's views. Imagine school or home where everybody takes turns and listens to each other, that's what they wanted.
But just because there was a new government, it didn't mean that things were perfect. There were still some bad people who wanted to cause trouble and make their own rules. They were called warlords, and they tried to take control of different parts of the galaxy.
And then something else happened. The First Order, a group that was linked to the old Empire, started to rise. They wanted to bring back the ways of the Empire and wanted to take down the New Republic. They were lead by a guy named Kylo Ren, who was a very bad man.
But don't worry, kiddo. There were some very brave heroes who started to fight back against the First Order. Some of them were the children of the original heroes who fought against the Empire. They were called the Resistance, and they wanted to make sure that the galaxy stayed free and everyone could live their lives.
They took on the bad guys in multiple battles and the Resistance had many victories. It wasn't always easy, but they knew they had to keep fighting for what they believed in.
