Age of Oil

Older oil is oil that has been sitting in the ground for a long time. We use oil for lots of things, like to drive cars, heat homes, and to make things like plastics and medicines. Oil is made from tiny fossils like plants and animals that have been underground for millions of years. As it sits underground, the oil gets older and older. Sometimes, companies will drill deep into the ground to extract this oil and use it for all kinds of things. The older the oil is, the more valuable it can be, because it could have more of the things that we need.
