ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Agricola (board game)

Agricola is a board game where players pretend to be farmers. As a farmer, you need to grow crops, raise animals, and build tools and buildings to help you do these things better.

The game is played on a board with many squares and each player has a play mat where they can put their farm. On your turn, you get to choose one of two actions. The first is to take resources like wood, clay, or stone. The second is to use your resources to do something like build a fence, sow some seeds, or bake bread.

At the end of each round, you have to feed your family. This means you must have enough food to feed all the people in your family, including any new babies that were born that round. If you can't feed everyone, you'll lose points.

Throughout the game, you'll get points for doing different things like growing crops, raising animals, and building structures. At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins.

It's important to plan carefully and think ahead in Agricola. You need to balance your resources so you can feed your family and still get enough points to win. It's a fun game that teaches you how to be a farmer and work hard to make your farm successful.
