ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Agrobiology

Agrobiology is all about how plants grow and how we can make them grow better.

Plants need food (nutrients) and water to live and grow. And just like how humans need different types of food to stay healthy, plants need different nutrients too. Agrobiology helps farmers understand which types of nutrients their plants need and how much of each they need to grow big and strong.

Agrobiology also helps farmers figure out how to protect their plants from things that can hurt them, like insects and diseases. Scientists study bugs and diseases to figure out how to get rid of them without hurting the plants. This makes sure that the plants stay healthy and can grow all the way to harvest time.

Lastly, agrobiology explores how plants can be used to make different things, like food, fuel, and medicines. By studying plants, scientists can discover new ways to use them that we never even thought of before.

So, in short, agrobiology helps farmers grow healthy plants that produce lots of food and other resources that we use every day.
