Aimé Laussedat was a man who lived a long time ago and did some really cool things. He was an engineer in France, which means that he was super smart and knew a lot about how things work.
One of the things that Aimé Laussedat was really good at was making maps. Maps are pictures that show where different things are in a certain area, like your neighborhood or even the whole world. Before Aimé Laussedat, maps weren't very accurate, which means that they didn't show exactly where everything was.
But Aimé Laussedat changed all of that by inventing something called photogrammetry. That's a fancy word that means using photographs taken from high up in the air, like from a plane, to make really accurate maps.
Thanks to Aimé Laussedat, we can now make maps that show exactly where everything is, which is really cool!
