ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Aircraft design process

When you want to make an airplane, you have to figure out all sorts of things first. You need to know what kind of airplane you want to make, what it will be used for, and how many people it will carry. After that, you have to decide what shape it will be, how big it will be, and what kind of materials you will use.

To help you figure these things out, you might use a computer to make a 3D model of your airplane. This will let you see what it will look like before you make it.

Once you have all of these things figured out, you can start building your airplane. You have to make sure that everything is put together in the right way so that it will fly safely. You will also need to test your airplane to make sure it works the way you want it to.

After your airplane has been tested and it works well, you are ready to use it for whatever you want. That's the process of designing and building an airplane.
