Aircraft periscope

So imagine you're sitting in an airplane and you want to look out the window, but there's a big wall in the way. How can you see what's on the other side of the wall? Well, that's where the aircraft periscope comes in!

You know how when you look in the mirror, you can see yourself? That's because the mirror reflects the image back to you. A periscope works kind of like a mirror, but it's made out of long tubes instead.
