ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Airman's Creed

The Airman's Creed is a special set of promises that people in the United States Air Force make to themselves and to their country. They repeat these promises so that they remember how important their job is and how proud they are to serve their country.

The first promise is to always think of themselves as part of a big team. Just like how in a game, everyone has to work together to win, in the Air Force, everyone has to work together to achieve their goals.

The second promise is to be brave and fight for what they believe in. This means that they will do their best to protect their country and make it a better place.

The third promise is to be respectful to others. They will treat everyone they meet with kindness and dignity, even those who might not agree with them.

The fourth promise is to stay true to themselves and their beliefs. They will always act with the highest standards of honesty and integrity.

The fifth promise is to take care of their body and mind. They will keep themselves healthy and strong so that they can perform their duties to the best of their abilities.

The Airman's Creed is an important reminder to people in the Air Force of their commitment to their country and their fellow Americans.
