Ajalon

Ajalon is a name that comes from a story in a very old book called the Bible. In the story, a man named Joshua needed more time to win a battle, so he asked the sun to stay still in the sky. And guess what? The sun listened! It stayed where it was in the sky so Joshua could keep fighting and win the battle.

Well, that battle happened near a town called Ajalon. So Ajalon became known as the place where the sun stood still. And even though that story is just a story, people still talk about Ajalon today because it's a real place in Israel where lots of people live. Sometimes people use the name Ajalon to mean something that seems like it will last forever, because they imagine the sun staying still there forever too. But really, time keeps moving and nothing can stay still forever, not even in Ajalon.
