ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Aleatory materialism

Aleatoric materialism is a way of thinking about life and the world. It suggests that although some things happen in life that seem predetermined, like our physical traits and the environment in which we are born, other things are left up to random chance. In other words, some things in life are out of our control, and we can't predict or control what will happen in the future. It also suggests that some of the most important decisions we make come down to chance or luck, and that we should embrace this idea and use it to our advantage. Put simply, aleatoric materialism suggests that life is partly a game of chance and we should accept that and make the most of it.
