Algorithmic synthesis is a type of computer-based sound-making. It involves computers and special programs to create sound. To make the sound, a computer is instructed to use algorithms, which are step-by-step formulas for making the sound. The computer follows the algorithms, which are like recipes, to make all the different sounds.
