Alien land laws

Alien land laws are laws that were created to stop non-citizens (people who were not born in the country or are not a citizen of the country) from owning or renting land. These laws were created to make sure that people who were not citizens would not be able to control land or resources that belong to citizens. Sometimes, only certain kinds of aliens were not allowed to own land, such as people from a different race or from a different country. These laws are not used in most countries today because they are seen as unfair.
