Allopoiesis

Allopoiesis is a process that allows something to create something completely new. For example, a caterpillar can use allopoiesis to turn into a butterfly. During allopoiesis, the caterpillar makes all new body parts, like wings and antennas! Allopoiesis happens in nature when things become something completely different.
