Amalek

Okay, kiddo, so there's this group of people called the Amalekites. They lived a long time ago in a place called the desert. Now, the Amalekites were not very nice people. They hurt other people for no reason and stole their things.

One day, a group of really good people called the Israelites were traveling through the desert when the Amalekites attacked them. The Israelites fought back, but it was a really hard battle.

After the battle, the leader of the Israelites, a man named Moses, said that the Amalekites would always be enemies of the Israelites. This means that the Israelites would always remember what the Amalekites did to them and never forget that they were bad people.

So, even though the Amalekites are not around anymore, the Israelites still remember them as a symbol of all the bad things that people can do to each other. And that's why we talk about the Amalekites sometimes - to remember that it's very important to be kind to others and that we should never hurt others for no reason.
