ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

American Fancy

Well kiddo, American fancy is not really something you can hold in your hand or see with your eyes. It's more of a fancy way of talking and acting that some people do in the United States.

When someone is said to be "fancy," it means they are trying to act sophisticated or upper class. This can include talking in a certain accent, using big words, dressing up in expensive clothes, or behaving in a highly refined manner.

American fancy can be seen in certain social circles or during certain events, where people are trying to impress others with how posh and high-class they are. It can also be seen in movies and TV shows, where characters may speak in a fancy manner to indicate their wealth or status.

So basically, American fancy is a way of acting fancy and making others think you're rich and important. But remember, kiddo, it's always important to be true to yourself and not try to be something you're not just to impress others.
