American Mediterranean Sea

Okay kiddo, so the Mediterranean Sea is a big body of water that's kind of like a big bathtub that sits between Europe and Africa. It has a lot of countries that surround it and they all have different cultures and foods that they eat.

Now, if we go to the other side of the world, we have America which is a big continent with lots of different countries too. But here's the thing, there's no Mediterranean Sea in America. However, some people might use the term "American Mediterranean" to refer to places in the US that have a similar climate and feel as the countries that surround the Mediterranean Sea.

For example, places like California, Florida, and parts of Texas have warm weather, beaches, and a lot of diversity in their cultures and foods. So, even though they're not technically near the Mediterranean Sea, people might use the term "American Mediterranean" to describe them because they have similarities to the countries around the actual Mediterranean Sea.
