ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

American Publishers Association

The American Publishers Association is a group of people who really love books! They work together to help writers and publishers make great books and get them into bookstores and into the hands of people like you and me who love to read.

Think about when you go to the bookstore with your family. All those books on the shelves had to be written, edited, designed, printed, and distributed to all the bookstores across the country. That's a lot of work!

The American Publishers Association helps with all of that work. They give advice to writers on how to write and publish their books. They also help publishers figure out the best way to print and distribute the books. And they make sure that everyone follows the rules and laws for making and selling books.

So next time you read a book, remember that the American Publishers Association played a big role in making sure you were able to enjoy it!
