American bison

Okay, kiddo, let's learn about the American Bison!

The American Bison is a very big and fluffy animal that lives in North America. Some people also call them buffalo, but they are not really a buffalo. They look a lot like them though!

Bison are very important to Native American cultures and have been around for a really long time. They used to roam around the Great Plains of North America in huge herds, kind of like when you see a big group of cows.

Bison are really big and strong, and they have a lot of fur on them to keep them warm in the winter. They have big horns on their head too! They eat a lot of grass and plants, and they can run much faster than you or me!

A long time ago, lots of people started hunting bison for their meat and fur, and this made lots of them go away. But nowadays, people are working really hard to make sure that bison stay around for a long time. You might even see some at a zoo or a big park near you!

So remember, bison are really big and fluffy animals that live in North America. They're important to Native American cultures, and we're working hard to make sure they stay around for a long time. Cool, right?
