American entry into World War I

When World War I started in Europe, the United States was not involved. Countries were fighting each other and the United States wanted to stay out of the fight. But in 1917, Germany did something that made the United States get involved. Germany announced they would start attacking any ships that were heading to Europe, including American ships. This made the United States very angry, so they declared war on Germany and began fighting in the war.
