Amotivational syndrome is a mental health condition that can cause someone to feel unmotivated and apathetic (not interested). It is often linked to using marijuana or other drugs. People with amotivational syndrome may have difficulty concentrating or setting and reaching goals, lack energy or drive, and feel a general lack of motivation to do things. They may also experience a lack of interest in social activities, hobbies, and relationships. Amotivational syndrome can have negative affects on a person's ability to function in day-to-day life and can lead to other mental health and substance use issues.
