Analgesic

Okay, so sometimes when you get a boo-boo or your tummy hurts, you feel a lot of pain. That's when we use something called an analgesic to help relieve the pain.

An analgesic is kind of like a superhero medicine that fights pain. It works by telling your brain that there's no need to feel so much pain, and helps your body feel better.

There are different kinds of analgesics, like acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Some are for mild pain and others are for more serious pain. But all of them are meant to make you feel better when you're hurting.

It's important to remember that even though analgesics can help you feel better, they're still medicine and you should always take them as directed by a grown-up, like a parent or doctor.
