Ananias and Sapphira
Ok kiddo, let's talk about a story from the Bible. Ananias and Sapphira were a couple who were part of a church community. They saw that other people were giving money to the church to help others who were in need. So, Ananias and Sapphira decided to do the same thing too.
They sold some of their property and kept some of the money for themselves. But when they went to give the money to the church, they told a lie. They said they were giving all the money they got from selling the property, but in reality, they kept some of it for themselves.
Now this was a big problem because lying is not good and it's important to be honest. The person who was leading the church found out that they had lied and talked to them about it. Both of them had a chance to be honest and tell the truth. But they chose to stick with their lie and did not tell the truth.
Because they chose to lie and not tell the truth, something very sad happened. Both Ananias and Sapphira died. This was a very sad thing, because it shows that it's important to be honest and not lie. We should always tell the truth, even if it's hard.
