Angevin kings of England

Okay kiddo, let me tell you about the Angevin Kings of England. It's like a story about a big family who ruled England a long time ago.

First, there was a man named Henry II who became king in 1154. He was really powerful and liked to control everything in England. He had a wife named Eleanor of Aquitaine who was very clever and helped him rule.

Then, their son Richard the Lionheart became king in 1189. He was a brave knight who went on adventures and fought in battles. He even went on a crusade to the Holy Land.

After Richard, his brother John became king in 1199. John wasn't as good a king as his brother and he made a lot of people angry. He also fought with other countries and lost some land in France.

But eventually, John's son Henry III became king in 1216. He was only nine years old when he became king, so he had a lot of advisors to help him rule.

The Angevin Kings were known for being strong and powerful rulers who fought a lot of battles and controlled a lot of land. They also helped shape English law and government. They were a really interesting family to learn about!
