Anglo-Mysore wars are like when two groups of people, the British and the Mysoreans, didn't get along and kept fighting with each other. They had four big fights called wars that happened over many years from 1767 to 1799.
The Mysoreans were led by a powerful man named Tipu Sultan, and he didn't want the British to take over his land. The British were trying to expand their territories and wanted Mysore too.
The first war happened because the British got involved in a quarrel between Mysorean rulers and their friends. That war ended with a treaty where Mysore had to give some land to the British.
The second war started because Tipu Sultan didn't like the British's actions, and he wanted his land back. The war went on for a few years, and the British won. They made Tipu Sultan give up some of his power and pay lots of money to them.
The third war happened because the British thought Tipu Sultan was working with the French, their enemy, and wanted to make sure he couldn't use his power against them. They attacked Mysore and won again. Tipu Sultan was killed in that war, and the British took over most of Mysore's land.
The fourth and last war happened because some Mysorean people didn't like the British rule, and they wanted to get their land back. They joined an army called the Marathas, and they attacked the British. But they didn't win, and the British took over the rest of Mysore's land.
In the end, the Anglo-Mysore wars made the British stronger, and they grew their power in India more. It was a sad time for the Mysoreans because they lost their land and their leader.
