Anglo-Scandinavian refers to a time when people from two different places, England and Scandinavia (which is made up of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark), mixed and exchanged ideas and cultures. This happened a long time ago, about a thousand years ago, when the Vikings from Scandinavia visited and settled in parts of England. They brought their own language, customs, and ways of doing things with them, which influenced the people who lived in England. Over time, the English people and the Vikings started to mix, and their cultures blended together. This period of history had a big impact on England and Scandinavia, and many things that we now associate with both places have roots in the Anglo-Scandinavian era.
